Children are encouraged to wear school uniform for practical reasons and to develop a sense of belonging to the school community.
Most school uniform items, both branded and unbranded, can be purchased from our online supplier at www.mapac.com/fernhurstprimary.
Children should wear sensible black school shoes. Boots, high-heeled shoes, platform-soled shoes or strappy sandals are not suitable footwear. Black trainer shoes can be worn.
For safety reasons jewellery and watches must be removed during PE Lessons.
PE Kit should include:
Logo items can be purchased from Macpac.
Children should wear the PE kit to school on PE and can wear PE kit on Forest School days (or they can change into forest school clothes in school) - you will be given a timetable for these sessions.
If there are special circumstances why your child cannot take part in a PE lesson, please email or ring the school explaining the reason.
Children should not wear jewellery, other than watches (not smart watches) or a single pair of stud earrings, at school. Children must be able to remove their earrings without help for P.E.
Children with long hair need to wear it tied back throughout the school day. Hair accessories should be uniform colour (green, grey, white), small in format and plain or very gently patterned.
Children should not have temporary tattoos or hair dyed an unnatural colour unless it is a non-uniform or charity event where explicit permission has been given.
Please ensure all items of footwear and clothing are clearly named.
