Our DT topic this half term is 'Mechanical systems: Slingshot Cars'. We started by learning about the history of the car and how its design and mechanics have changed over time. Then we discussed how to design a car which has the least amount of air resistance and with any specific features we wanted. After designing them, we created our cars. We created the chassis first and then created the body of the car and added all our design elements. This of course ended in us having to test out our cars at the end of the day!
