Stay Safe
Be Respectful
Always Try Your Best

We are proud to announce that we are now a myHappymind Bronze Accredited school!
This means that as a school we consider the mental health and wellbeing of our children as one of our top priorities. We have created a whole school culture that helps build our children's resilience, confidence and self-esteem as well as teaching them how to self-regulate in those stressful times.
This Accreditation badge has been awarded thanks to all the effort our staff, children, governors and parents have put in to bring the lessons of myHappymind to life all around our school!

Here is some of the work our Happiness Heroes have been doing around school. Our Happiness Heroes are currently working towards creating a positivity corner in the school, which will include a positivity post box and kindness notes for each class. The Heroes have been distributing positive messages to peers at break times. They have also been helping with nominations for MyHappymind Headteacher Awards. The Heroes for each class have also been leading our daily Happy Breathing sessions after lunch using their own scripts that they created.
Happiness Heroes are approachable in the playground at breaktimes for anybody that needs a kind word and they wear their badges with pride.

Parent Testimonies
We have had some lovely feedback about how your children have been responding to the MyHappyMind programme at home. Here are some of your testimonies:
"Both my boys have come home and talked about myHappymind, with one in particular (re)educating me on the parts of the brain and how it works. I think the principles are very sound and provide a really strong core grounding in promoting awareness of mental health and providing skills to manage this from an early age. Both through self-awareness and an awareness of the needs of others."
"My children now understand the emotions that they are feeling, so they have a clearer way to help them feel better.“
"My son and daughter often refer to their myHappymind toolkit at home when feeling overwhelmed or frustrated. It's now the norm at home to see them taking charge of their own emotional regulation through the skills they have learnt. My son is a Happiness Hero, and we have caught him when sad or frustrated, saying things like "What would you say to someone in year 1 if they felt like this? That's what you need to tell yourself". I'm 40 and still not sure I have that level of self-awareness! We think it's such a valuable toolkit and resource for the kids and families.“
"My child likes the journal and they also use the breathing techniques to help regulate themselves when they feel anxious or upset about something. My daughter has also reminded Mummy to use it too!“
"Our son came home from school and told us all about the Hippocampus, the Amygdala and the Prefrontal Cortex. As a therapist, I see the value in psychoeducation from an early age."
